Choose Chungmuro

From Myeongdong on Line 4, take the train toward Chungmuro, one stop away. Check the next station before boarding; Seoul Station is the opposite direction.
- Chungmuro also serves Line 3. Follow Exit 4 and village signs after arrival rather than changing to another train just because you see Line 3 signs.
Find the village
At Exit 4, locate the signed lane toward Namsangol Hanok Village, 28 Toegye-ro 34-gil. Continue to the village entrance; the tourist office lists about 307 metres from the exit.
- This is not Bukchon Hanok Village, and it is not the N Seoul Tower cable-car entrance. Save the complete destination name to avoid following another Namsan attraction.
Separate transport and entry
Village admission is free. A supported transport card or single-journey ticket pays only for the subway. Card purchase and top-up balance are separate costs.
- The optional card link is for airport collection; match terminal, counter and opening hours. Already in Seoul? Compare local purchase. Workshops, costume rentals and performances can require separate payment or reservations.
Explore the houses

At the entrance map, choose the traditional houses first, then the pond and garden if time permits. Compare tiled roofs, courtyard walls and kitchen fittings in the photographs with areas actually open to visitors.
- Stay outside ropes and do not step into closed rooms for a better photograph. Furniture displays are not equipment for visitors to handle. Event furniture in an older photograph does not guarantee a performance today.
Plan the return

House-area hours are April–October 09:00–21:00 and November–March 09:00–20:00. Mondays normally close, with holiday adjustments; the garden has a separate schedule.
- Check the official dated notice before setting out. Return down the entrance lane to Chungmuro. For Myeongdong, choose Line 4 toward Seoul Station and confirm Myeongdong as the next stop; do not enter the Line 3 platform.
