Arrivals

After immigration, collect your bags and clear customs. Save your hotel address in Korean and the nearest station before leaving airport Wi-Fi.
Planning example
- For a Hongik University hotel, an All-stop train can reach Hongik University without going to Seoul Station first; Express does not stop there. For a Myeongdong hotel, one option is Seoul Station then Line 4 via Hoehyeon to Myeongdong.
- At Seoul Station, follow Line 4 and confirm Hoehyeon as the next station before boarding. Keep the hotel’s Korean address and planned exit ready; the AREX fare does not automatically cover every onward journey.
AREX signs

Both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 have a railway station at the B1 transportation centre. Follow Airport Railroad / AREX signs; check your actual terminal rather than using the other terminal’s map.
Train options

Express runs non-stop to Seoul Station with reserved seats. All-stop serves intermediate stations such as Hongik University and Gongdeok, so it may avoid a detour to Seoul Station.
Express booking

On the official booking site or Express machine, choose your terminal → Seoul Station → travel date → passengers → departure. After payment, check the QR ticket, train time, carriage and seat; a reseller voucher may still need exchange or a train reservation.
All-stop tickets

Use a supported transit card with enough balance, or buy the appropriate single-journey ticket at the station. The cropped photo shows older equipment, not today’s screen sequence; follow the current machine language and fare instructions.
Gates

Follow Express Train / 직통열차 for an Express reservation; follow All-stop Train / 일반열차 for the ordinary service. Use the reader indicated for your ticket, and ask staff if rejected instead of buying another ticket or forcing the gate.
Boarding

For All-stop, check the platform display for a Seoul Station-bound train and its stopping pattern. The photo shows the T1 All-stop platform; Express passengers must follow their own platform and assigned carriage.
Seoul transfer

For Myeongdong, follow signs for Line 4 and confirm the direction in a route planner; other hotels may need a different connection. Allow time for corridors, gates and lifts, and keep your ticket or fare card until you finish.
Late arrival & return
Check the official timetable for your date, terminal and direction before setting off; do not assume trains run overnight. If the last train has gone, confirm an operating airport bus or official taxi, and allow airport check-in time on the return.
