Take the red line

Travel from Taipei Main R10 to Taipei 101/World Trade Center R03 on the red R line, away from the Tamsui direction.
- Confirm a Xiangshan-direction service that reaches R03 on the current display. If a train terminates earlier, check the onward R03 service at that terminus.
- Airport MRT A1 and city MRT R10 are separate facilities. The airport train itself does not continue to Taipei 101.
Prepare the city fare

Use a supported stored-value card or a single-journey token to R03. City transport and observatory admission are separate payments.
- Compare ordinary fares before buying a transport pass just for this return trip. No special pass is required to reach the building.
- Keep the same fare card through the exit. Ask station staff about a balance or tap error instead of following another passenger through a gate.
Follow Exit 4 signs

This is surface Exit 3. Follow Exit 4 signs for the Taipei 101 connecting passage.

At R03, follow Taipei 101 and the Exit 4 passage. Distinguish an outside photograph of Exit 3 from the indoor Exit 4 connection.
- The passage takes you towards the building, not necessarily to the observatory’s actual ticketing and admission floor.
- Use the current lift map if stairs are unsuitable. Station names, exit numbers and Taipei 101 signs are more reliable than an old shop sign.
Check the relocated entrance
Official ticket information announces a temporary move of the observatory ticket counter and entrance to Office Tower 1F from 1 July 2026. Do not simply follow old shopping-mall 5F instructions.
- Recheck your dated voucher and the current Observatory signs. Temporary arrangements can change; ask the building information desk for the entrance in use.
- Select your date, time and floors carefully. Basic 89F admission, 101F additions, outdoor experiences and fast-track options are not interchangeable.
Choose the viewing scope

View the included indoor observation areas and tuned mass damper exhibit; use extra floors or outdoor areas only when your ticket and current opening permit them.
- Exterior and damper photographs illustrate the place, not guaranteed visibility. Weather may close outdoor sections.
- Standard entry is not a restaurant reservation or a safety-harness outdoor experience. Check age, height and companion rules for the specific extra activity.
Return to Taipei Main
Return to R03 and select the opposite-direction train stopping at Taipei Main R10. Leave time for lifts, shopping and the walk back to the station.
- A ground-level skyline photograph is a different viewpoint from the paid observatory. Allow separate time if you want to see the tower from outside.
- Observatory last admission and the final usable MRT train have different cutoffs; check both for your date.
