Find the Ximen stop

This archived bus shows the return direction to Ximen/Banqiao. For the outbound trip, check the current Jiufen/Jinguashi display.
For the outbound 965 toward Jiufen/Jinguashi, Taipei Bus directs passengers from Ximen MRT Exit 2 south for about 170 m to No. 67, Section 1, Zhonghua Road.
- Save that exact stop address and the operator's current map. It is not the Exit 6 shopping-street entrance or a private-tour meeting point.
- At the pole, match 965 and the Jiufen/Jinguashi direction. Check the route notice for temporary relocation before joining a queue.
Choose how to pay
Ordinary bus travel and an online sightseeing card package are different choices. If you already have a supported, sufficiently loaded card, compare paying the regular journey directly.
- The linked 965 package includes a themed card with NT$200 stored value and option-dependent vouchers; it is not an unlimited-ride ticket or a reserved bus seat.
- Extra shopping, food or museum benefits depend on the selected package and participating merchants. Do not add their face values to a claimed guaranteed saving.
- Read the current option's validity and refund rules before redemption, especially if your trip could be cancelled by weather.
Collect before boarding
The online package needs exchange for a physical package before use. A purchase QR is not a bus boarding QR and does not reserve a place on a departure.
- The seller lists LAI HAO Ximen Xining branch at No. 169 Xining South Road among the collection points. Check its current hours and your voucher; this shop is not the Zhonghua Road bus stop.
- Complete collection before walking to the correct outbound pole. If your intended bus leaves before the collection point opens, compare paying normally instead of buying an unusable plan.
- On the bus, follow the driver's card-reader instructions for boarding and alighting, and keep the same card through the journey.
Get off for the old street

Tell the driver or monitor the display for the Jiufen Old Street stop. After alighting, use the present pedestrian signs toward Jishan Street; do not continue to the Jinguashi terminus by mistake.
- A photograph of the Jiufen Police Station shelter illustrates the area, not a promise that it is your exact alighting or return bay. Match the stop name on today's route map.
- Save a map pin for the bus stop before entering the lanes. Carry light luggage: the old street includes slopes and steps.
Walk a small loop

Start with the main market lane, then choose one staircase or viewpoint according to the weather and your footing. Shops, tea houses and photo viewpoints do not all share the same entrance.
- The tea-house and night-view photographs help you recognise the surroundings; they do not imply a tea reservation or meal is included in the transport package.
- In rain, use shoes with grip and keep the steps clear. The linked seller marks the activity as not stroller/wheelchair accessible, so ask about an alternative before booking if needed.
- Decide a return time before waiting for evening lights. A bus queue and mountain traffic can take longer than the walk through the lanes.
Return to Ximen

Use the operator's live route map to find the 965 stop toward Taipei/Ximen/Banqiao, on the correct side of the road. Do not board the outward Jinguashi direction again.
- Recheck the last useful departure for your actual day before dinner, not after every shop closes. An online package does not hold the bus for you.
- If the direct route is disrupted, check an operating Ruifang connection with the official operator and rail timetable rather than assuming it runs all night.
- Keep extra card balance for the actual return fare. The package's vouchers and transport balance are separate benefits.
