Route

Take Airport MRT to A1 Taipei Main Station, walk to Beimen G13, then ride the green line one stop to Ximen G12. Save your hotel address and check its exit and lift before leaving Wi-Fi.

Use Airport MRT signs in your arrival terminal: Terminal 1 is A12 and Terminal 2 is A13. You do not need to switch terminals just to take the train; the train destination you want is A1 Taipei Main Station.

Tickets

At a single-journey machine choose A1 and the passenger count, then check the current fare before paying; city MRT is separate. With a reseller voucher, check the redemption counter, hours and whether you need a physical token; the linked Klook offer excludes Taiwanese passport holders.

Train to A1

Check To Taipei Main Station / A1 on the platform display, not just the train colour. Express and Commuter have different stops and journey times; include immigration, waiting and hotel travel separately, and keep the ticket/card for exit.

A1 to Beimen

At A1, look for the B1 exit and the Songshan–Xindian Line / Beimen signs outside the Airport MRT gates. Follow the Beimen connection and signposted down escalators until you reach the city green-line gates; prepare a separate city fare card or ticket.

Beimen to Ximen

At Beimen G13, enter the city MRT and follow To Xindian / 往新店, checking Ximen G12 as the next station. Do not take the opposite Songshan direction; use the lift signs if you have large luggage.

Exit 6 serves the Ximending pedestrian-area side, but choose the exit for your actual hotel address. With luggage, check the exit map and lift location before going up to street level.

Late arrival & return

For a late arrival, check the last connection after allowing for immigration and baggage, not just your landing time. The return is Ximen → Songshan direction → Beimen → A1 → airport; confirm Terminal 1 A12 or Terminal 2 A13 and allow airline check-in time.
