Board for Songshan

Taipei city MRT fare gates

At Ximen G12, choose a green-line service toward Songshan G19. Beimen G13 as the next stop confirms your direction; continue to the terminus.

  • Xindian-bound trains run the other way. From Taipei Main, plan your actual connection via Ximen or another suitable interchange; Songshan MRT and TRA are different railway facilities.

Choose transport

A supported card or single-journey token works. Compare the linked transport pass only when your day includes enough other covered rides.

  • Check collection point and hours, activation, validity and cancellation. Airport collection may not fit a city departure. No transport pass here includes your food purchases.

Use MRT Exit 5

Follow Exit 5 and Raohe/Ciyou Temple signs. On the surface, match the temple and the market's eastern entrance to your map.

  • The city tourism page gives roughly three minutes from Exit 5. Do not substitute TRA Songshan's exit numbering; use crossings and follow the pedestrian approach.

Order without blocking

Step aside at the entrance to read menus, prices and queue directions. Choose small portions rather than assuming you must try every stall in one visit.

  • Photographs show past stalls and food, not guaranteed opening or today's prices. Ask about allergens and payment before ordering; check whether a line is for ordering or pickup.

Plan the return

The city listing gives 17:00–00:00 for the market, but individual stalls vary. A late-closing market does not mean your last MRT train departs at the same time.

  • Return to MRT Songshan G19 and choose the Xindian direction through Ximen G12. Keep the temple's worshipper paths clear; add the riverside only as a separate extension if time allows.
