Reach Beitou R22

At Taipei Main R10, choose a northbound red-line train stopping at Beitou R22. A Beitou terminator works; leave a Tamsui-bound train at R22 rather than staying aboard.
- Xiangshan/southbound is the other direction. This is the city MRT, not Airport MRT A1. Save Beitou R22 as your first destination.
Change to the branch
At R22, follow Xinbeitou R22A signs within the paid area. Take that branch to its terminus, Xinbeitou.
- Beitou and Xinbeitou are different stations. Remaining on the main line toward Tamsui takes you away from this approach. Use the current platform display, not an old photograph's number.
Choose a fare
Compare a card or single-journey token with your full day's rides before buying the linked transport pass. One-day and 24-hour options count validity differently.
- Check collection place and hours, activation and cancellation for the selected option. Airport collection may not suit a city departure; the pass does not include a private hot-spring bath.
Walk to the museum

From Xinbeitou, follow Beitou Park and Zhongshan Road toward the museum at No. 2 Zhongshan Road. Distinguish the timber library from the former bathhouse museum.
- The museum preserves historic-bathhouse displays; it is not a bathing facility. Do not enter the pool or put your feet in; follow current entry/shoe instructions. Keep quiet and follow photography rules if visiting the library.
Return via R22

The museum lists Tuesday–Sunday 10:00–18:00, last admission 17:45, closed Monday. Check dated notices for temporary changes.
- Return on the branch from R22A to R22, then change to a southbound red-line service stopping at Taipei Main R10. Thermal Valley and public baths are separate facilities; museum opening does not establish their access or bathing availability.
